I occasionally make mail art, sometimes to mark a specific moment like the arrival of spring or just for the pleasure of making a nice envelope with a collage of images.

Il m'arrive à l'occasion de faire de l'art postal , parfois pour souligner un moment précis comme l'arrivée du printemps ou juste pour le plaisir de faire une jolie enveloppe avec un collage d'images.

Mail art / art postal

Today I'll be showcasing some postal art.
 On the forum "Le Potager Creatif" they challenged us in April to make some envelope mail art using a face. The instructions also stated that we had to cover a part of the face with whatever we wanted. Here was my first go at it:

Aujourd'hui je vous montre de l'art postal .
Sur le forum "Le potager créatif", nous pouvions participer au défi de réaliser une enveloppe d'art postal en utilisant un visage. Les instructions impliquaient de cacher une partie de celui-ci avec ce qui nous semblait approprier.

Pen/crayon

Last month , we had an exchange at the forum "le potager créatif" for a mail art.
The requirement was to include a pen shape

Mine is a big one !!!

Le mois dernier, nous avons eu un échange art postal sur le forum "Le potager créatif ".
nous avions l'obligation de lui donner la forme d'un crayon.
Le mien est plutôt gros !!!

 technical :

Black gesso around the template of the woman.

Doodling with white gel pen. 

 technique :

Gesso noir autour de la forme de la femme.

Doodeling avec un crayon gel blanc.

 I put the address in the body of the woman before sent it.

 Avant de l'envoyer , j'ai écrit l'adresse du destinataire dans le corps de la femme.

Mail art/art postal

Over the last few weeks, I have been making some envelope mail art .
In the end, I ended up making 4 different types:
(A) With pictures that I found in magazines
(B) With papers and paint
(C) Only with paint
(D) With paint /embroidering and papers or paint/embroidering/fabric/stamps and modeling paste

Ses dernières semaines , j'ai fait quelques enveloppes art postal.
Quelqu’une sont faites avec seulement des morceaux de photos trouvées dans les magazines (A), d'autres sont un mix de photos et de peinture(B), ou juste de la peinture (C), ou encore peinture /broderie et papiers ou peinture/broderie/tissu/ tampons et mortier de structure.

Hands /Mains

Today two mails art that I made for the challenge from the forum "Le potager Créatif" last month.
We had to imagine a hand .
My choice was to reproduce a India hand :

Houses and trees

Let us look at mail art, this time with another set of envelopes with houses and trees !!
Some are made with papers made using the Gelli Plate ( the first three), while the others are simply made with scrap papers.
De nouveau de l'art postal avec une série d'enveloppes avec des maisons et des arbres cette fois !!
Les trois premières sont faites avec du papier fait à Gelli Plate , les suivantes avec des retailles de papiers imprimés.
