Sometimes we begin a project without a clear picture in mind of the final result. When I started making these two pages of my art journal, I simply put some leftover paint that I was using on another project.
 Sometimes we are beginning something with any clue where we are going for !
It was exactly my case for these double pages of art journal.First I begun by put some left over of painting that I had from another project.
 
Parfois on commence quelque chose sans savoir ou cela nous mènera .C'est exactement le cas de cette double page d'art journal.
J'ai commencé mettre au hasard de la peinture qui me restait d'un projet.

At another time, I did the same with stencils
 Puis une autre fois, j'ai ajouté de nouveau de la peinture qui me restait à travers des pochoirs.

In the end, I wasn't happy with the results so I put black gesso all over to cover what I had made. Using a stencil of a woman, I left the middles untouched by the black
Finalement rien ne me plaisait alors je suis venue la terminé de cette manière en cachant
mes "bêtises ": un pochoir personnage de femme et du gesso noir !

The text (writing in white) is from a song of the artist M (song "en tête à tête" )

Le texte ( en blanc ) est extrait des paroles d'une chanson de  M "en tête à tête ".

Mail art / art postal

Today I'll be showcasing some postal art.
 On the forum "Le Potager Creatif" they challenged us in April to make some envelope mail art using a face. The instructions also stated that we had to cover a part of the face with whatever we wanted. Here was my first go at it:

Sur le forum "Le potager créatif", nous pouvions participer au défi de réaliser une enveloppe d'art postal en utilisant un visage. Les instructions impliquaient de cacher une partie de celui-ci avec ce qui nous semblait approprier.

Art journal (2)

Sorry I have been so quiet these past few months, I have had a busy beginning of the year between moving back to Canada from Southeast Asia and the obvious virus that has disrupted all our lives. Today I'll be continuing from where we left off last time introducing you to yet another page of my art journal.



Désolé d'avoir été si silencieuse ses derniers mois , mais j'étais bien occupé à déménager d'Asie du Sud Est et à emménager au Canada et comme tant d'autres personnes avec un virus qui fait un peu déraper nos vies... Aujourd'hui , je continue là ou je vous aie laissé la dernière fois ...voici donc une autre page d'art journal.

Art journal (1)

Recently, a friend bought me a large note book from Rangers to make into an art journal.
Originally I was a little bit nervous to used it, so instead I would just look at the blank pages and imagine what I wanted to do on them.
In then end, I went for it and the result ended up with pages looking very different from one another.
Today, I'll show you the first page:

Récemment une amie m'a acheté un large cahier (de chez Rangers) pour me mettre à l'art journal.
Au début , j'étais nerveuse à l'idée de m'en servir et couvrir ses pages blanches  ...juste à imaginer ce qu'elles pourraient être.
En fin de compte, j'ai essayé et le résultat a donné des pages bien différentes à chaque fois.
Pour l'instant , il y'en a peu ....voici la première page:

Details:
The background is made by painting with different colors.
The purple shape is made from modeling paste and purple paint using a stencil.
The numbers and the words are simply stamped on with rubber stamps (Rangers) and the face comes from a magazine.

Détails: 
Le fond est fait avec de la peinture de différentes couleurs.
Les formes violettes sont réalisées avec du mortier de structure additionné à de la peinture violette et un pochoir.
Les chiffres et les mots sont simplement tamponnés grâce à des tampons (Rangers) et le visage vient d'un magazine.

Wood box decorate / boite en bois décorée

 I have had this wooden box for a while now and my brain has since thought up of a few ideas for how to decorate it. I held off for a few months, but finally I decided what to use and got to work. I choose to use a collection of papers that I love to work with making the entire process very fun.

Finalement j'ai trouvé quoi faire de cette boite en bois (qui trainait dans mon stock des "à faire")après quelques mois ou mon cerveau me donnait plein de propositions ... 
J'ai choisi une collection de papiers avec laquelle j aime travailler.
N'est-ce-pas la meilleure solution ?




In the front , there is a glass, so I put some sequins to make a shaker box and added of paper and stickers/paper die.

Sur le devant il y a une glace (que j'ai convertie en une boite à secouer avec des sequins) et j'ai ajouté des autocollants et des découpes de papier.

When you open the box, there are two parts:
The left part is simply decorated.

Quand on ouvre la boite , il y a deux parties.
Celle de gauche est juste décorée ainsi :

 The right side is decorated too but there is a mini album that you can removed from the box.

Celle de droite est également décorée mais elle abrite un mini album que l'on peut enlever à sa guise de sa niche.

It is made with tulle, plain paper or cardstock color paper, and with pockets of course !
Il est travaillé simplement avec du tulle, du papier coloré ou blanc et avec quelques pochettes bien-sûr !

results/résultats

When you're working with alcohol inks the result is not always what you want it to be.
But it is so fun to have something different every time !!
I'll show you a brunch of cards with different sentiments today.
I used different techniques (with a template for card number 2 for example) this type of ink offers a lot of variety to work with.

Quand vous travaillez avec des encres à alcool, le résultat n'est pas toujours celui que vous aviez en tête.
Mais il reste que c'est vraiment un média plaisant qui offre un résultat différent à chaque fois !!
Je vous montre aujourd'hui une série de cartes avec différents sentiments .
J'ai utilisé différentes techniques (avec un pochoir par exemple pour la carte #2) d'autant que ce genre d'encres offre une grande variété de travail .

Cards made with papers with different medias : acrylic paints (Gelli plate), alcohol inks, sprays inks.

Pen/crayon

Last month , we had an exchange at the forum "le potager créatif" for a mail art.
The requirement was to include a pen shape

Mine is a big one !!!

Le mois dernier, nous avons eu un échange art postal sur le forum "Le potager créatif ".
nous avions l'obligation de lui donner la forme d'un crayon.
Le mien est plutôt gros !!!

 technical :

Black gesso around the template of the woman.

Doodling with white gel pen. 

 technique :

Gesso noir autour de la forme de la femme.

Doodeling avec un crayon gel blanc.

 I put the address in the body of the woman before sent it.

 Avant de l'envoyer , j'ai écrit l'adresse du destinataire dans le corps de la femme.
