I recently finished a BIG project, which took me a long time to created but it is finally done! This project was for a challenge organised by the forum"Le potager créatif".
The challenge was to create a shadow boxaccording to a specific which was
Alice in Wonderland in my case.
J'ai récemment réalisé un GROS projet.
Cela m'a pris pas mal de temps pour finir tout à temps.
C'était bien-sûr un défi proposé par le forum "Le potager créatif": une maison miniature suivant un thème choisi .
Le thème que j'ai choisi était Alice au pays des merveilles.
The base of the house is made of wood to which I applied a layer of gesso. Mixing the following paints
; Distress paint : Aged mahogany, spiced marmelade,and Martha Stewart paints: pearl, chestnut, carrot, I proceeded to colour it. The house is composed of 4 square rooms as well as an attic component right under the roof, so I decided to make each room themed after a certain part of the story from Alice in Wonderland. Each room had decorations on both the floor and walls except the attic where I left the walls bare.
La base de la maison est en bois MDF que j'ai recouvert d'une couche de gesso puis de mélange de peintures.
La maison a 4 pièces et une autre sous le toit.
J'ai décidé de donner un morceau de l'histoire d'Alice au pays des merveilles à chaque pièce.
Chaque pièce a des décorations aux murs et au sol sauf la pièce sous le toit.
The first room is
the rabbit's room.
The paper used is from a real Alice in Wonderland novel, while the grass is made from a moss sheet ribbon. The mushrooms are a steel component which I have owned for a while and finally the metallic clock

Il y'a la chambre du lapin:
Le papier est imprimé d'après le livre original de l'histoire d'Alice, le gazon est un ruban (mélange de fer léger et fausse herbe) , les champignons sont en fer (en stock depuis des années) et bien-sûr l'horloge est un sujet métallique :T.Holtz
The next room is inspired by the
tea party scenes. Again, the grass and paper used are the same as the above room.
Puis vient la pièce inspirée du goûter:
Le papier et le gazon sont les mêmes éléments que dans la pièce précédente.
Below, there is
the room of the queen of hearts:
The rose design on the back wall are created using texture paste and a transparent gloss and a T.Holtz template. When it is dry, I added a layer of black paint. Once agin using the same grass, I then pasted a small playing card with, of course, the queen of hearts.
En dessous , on trouve la pièce de la reine de cœur:
J'ai mis de la pâte de structure transparente sur un pochoir: T.Holtz dont le motif est des roses sur le mur du fond. Une fois sec, une couche de peinture noire a été ajoutée. Au sol pareillement que les autres pièces : l'herbe ! Sur le mur de droite , une petite carte à jouer sur laquelle j'ai ajouté deux couronnes ( autocollants)
On the left, a room inspired by the moment where
Alice enters Wonderland. The keys are made with brown paper and the paper is again printed from the real book story of Alice.
Sur la gauche de cette pièce , il y'a la pièce où Alice rentre dans le pays des merveilles ( pas de photos du début, j'ai zappé..) les clés sont découpées dans du papier brun et bien-sûr le papier sur le mur du fond provient du livre original de l'histoire d'Alice

the roof is as such:
The back wall is made using some texture paste transparent gloss with a T.Holtz template with a brick design, adding black paint once it is dry.

Encore une fois j'ai mis de la pâte de structure transparente sur un pochoir :T.Holtz, dont le motif représente un mur de briques.
Une fois sec, une couche de peinture noire a été ajoutée.
Next, to further decorate each room:

A white rabbit in 3D, a pocket watch
Un lapin blanc en 3D , une montre de poche à l'ancienne
la pièce inspirée du goûter:
A table with macarons, tea cups, tea pot
and on the floor two cups and a card 10/6

une théière et sur le sol deux tasses avec une carte 10/06
la pièce de la reine de cœur:
A pink flamingo upside down , a red chair,
some smalls playing cards , two paper roses
( one painting with black paint)
and of course a small Alice.
Un flamand rose posé à l'envers, une chaise rouge,
des petites cartes à jouer, deux roses en papier
( dont une est peinte en peu avec de la peinture noire)
et bien-sûr une petite Alice.

Made on paper : keys, cup cake with the tag "eat me",
and a small bottle with a tag "drink me"
( inside the bottle some pink ink dry)
Fait en papier: clés, gâteau avec son étiquette : "mange moi" ,
et une petite bouteille avec l'étiquette"bois moi"
( dedans de l'encre rose séchée)

(Pinterest has great tutorials and templates to print: Tara Maginnis : miniature book specially )
and a bell jar/ glass dome : T.Holtz I made the smallest card to play that you can imagined and a rose in paper in addition.
Des livres fait maison ( Pinterest est si riche de pas-à-pas et pages à imprimés!!!) et une cloche en verre : T.Holtz pour laquelle j'ai fait une petite /minuscule carte à jouer qu'on peut imaginer et une rose en papier pour l'accompagner.

I made this house with a LOT of joy and passion.
This was a very big challenge and I 'm very proud of myself.
J'ai fait cette maison avec BEAUCOUP de joie et de passion.
C'était un très gros défi et je suis très fière de ma réalisation .
